David (DJ) is considered one of Australasia’s leading viticulturists. He has been in the grape and wine industry for 35 years, initially as a Viticultural Scientist and now as a consultant from his business Vine to Wine to Market. DJ is a graduate of Lincoln (BHortSci Hons) and Oregon State Universities (PhD).

 

DJ is the Programme Manager for the Lighter Wines Programme – he was instrumental and now manages this exciting NZ Winegrowers led initiative. 

 

DJ brings a strategic blend of technical knowledge with industry and commercial experience to coordinate this seven-year programme - with 2 and a half years remaining.
