Matt Kramer has been a full-time independent wine writer for 42 years. A former columnist for decades in every issue of Wine Spectator, he has previously also been the wine critic for the Los Angeles Times, The Oregonian and The New York Sun newspapers. Kramer now serves as an advisor to wineries and regional wine associations that seek to both refine and project their narratives to the wine-buying public.
Matt Kramer is the author of nine critically acclaimed books, most recently, True Taste: The Seven Essential Wine Words. His books have been translated into Korean, Japanese, Portuguese and Swedish. He divides his time between Portland, Oregon and San Francisco.
