Steve is a Lincoln University alumni whose career has been in the wine sector.
His most notable achievement in the business world has been co-founding the leading the creation and development of Craggy Range Winery in Hawke's Bay, crowned as the best winery in the new world by Wine Enthusiast Magazine 2014.
His new ventures in wine involve the creation of a New Zealand based fine wine portfolio of estates with his good friend, investor and environmental philanthropist from the USA, Brian Sheth.
Along the way, Steve became the only viticulturist in the world to have passed the prestigious Master of Wine examination, has been inducted into Sir George Fistonich's Legends of New Zealand Wine and been selected twice in the list of 50 most influential people in the world of wine.
Alongside his role of Chancellor at Lincoln University, he sits on the Primary Growth Partnership independent panel of experts and is active in the Te Hono Movement, a private sector-led initiative to embrace market-led change in the New Zealand primary sector.
