Participating Wineries invite you to join them for 'Dinner at My Place' on Wednesday 3 February.

Night two is an opportunity to connect with the people and places that make our Sauvignon Blanc so special. Participating Wineries have curated a range of memorable dining experiences for SBNZ27 attendees and guests - from a relaxed vineyard BBQ to an intimate fine-dining degustation.

Dinner at My Place events are individually priced and are not included in your registration fee. Each dinner will have limited capacity, and bookings will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

A booking form will be sent to you after you complete your event registration. Standalone bookings for these offerings will open closer to the event.

Aromatics at Ours

Host: Lawsons Dry Hills Wines

After a day immersed in Sauvignon Blanc, we invite you to experience something completely different. Set in our walled courtyard overlooking our dry-farmed GewĂŒrztraminer, this intimate evening will celebrate the aromatic varieties that help define Lawson’s Dry Hills and Marlborough's rich wine landscape. Explore at your leisure: Four vintages of RANU - our dry, minerally co-ferment of Riesling, GewĂŒrztraminer and Pinot Gris. Ten vintages of Riesling - showcasing the remarkable evolution of this vibrant variety over time. Ten vintages of our iconic GewĂŒrztraminer - a wine that has earned a loyal following both in New Zealand and around the world Three of our Pioneer wines over dinner: Pinot Gris, GewĂŒrztraminer and Pioneer Pinot Noir. And because great wine deserves great music, our popular Vinyl in the Vines DJ collective will provide the soundtrack with classic tracks and forgotten favourites from across the decades (yes there is a dancefloor). As the sun sets over our famous Dry Hills and the regen flowers bloom between our vineyard rows, join us for a relaxed, authentic evening of great wine, food and music with the Lawson's Dry Hills team.

Bankhouse Estate “A Marlborough Spectacle”

Enjoy an intimate degustation dinner at the iconic Bankhouse Estate, showcasing the best of Villa Maria and Invivo Wines - including the refined elegance of Sarah Jessica Parker’s award-winning collaboration and the wit and warmth of Graham Norton’s Own Wines.

Throughout the evening, guests can choose to take part in exclusive 4WD vineyard experiences, running on a rotating basis. Small groups will journey to the top of Bankhouse Hill for a guided wine tasting overlooking one of Marlborough's most spectacular vineyard views, while others can venture into the vines for a grape tasting and behind-the-scenes Villa Maria vineyard experience.

Between experiences, guests can relax in the estate's gardens, enjoying music, stand out wines and innovative serves - think Villa Maria’s iconic status matched to Invivo's playful personality popping up in unexpected pours. The Villa Maria and Invivo Winemakers will also be opening their cellars for some exceptional and rare vintage wines - all amongst the unique atmosphere of this special property. It’s a true sense-of-place experience that feels expansive, memorable and distinctly Marlborough.

Cricket in the Vines

An extraordinary evening at the Black Cottage Cricket Ground - guests are welcomed onto the boundary as local winemakers and viticulturists take to the pitch to claim bragging rights in one of Marlborough's most spirited seasonal rivalries - the vigneron versus the viticulturist, settled on the crease. Renowned restaurateur Sander de Wildt presides over an open fire gourmet BBQ, serving premium wild game alongside Two Rivers Wines and locally crafted beer - an unmissable collision of fine dining, sport and the soul of Marlborough, in one of the world's most unique cricket grounds set amongst the vines.

Culinary Night Market

Host: Jules Taylor and Allan Scott Family Winemakers

An evening of fine food, great vibes and exceptional wines from Jules Taylor and Allan Scott Family Winemakers. Meet the makers behind these two award-winning Marlborough wineries and experience their passion through ongoing wine tastings. Roam around and grab your yakitori from the Japanese grill at Tokyo Street, sample the local catch of the day at Pacific Grove, or enjoy low-and-slow pulled meats from the Southern Smoke House BBQ. A culinary night market in true Allan Scott Bistro style, celebrating the brilliance of simplicity with live music, great company and plenty of opportunities to mingle.

Dinner at Kim Crawford's Private Location

Hilltop Bubbles & Farm to Table Dinner

There is a place high up on the hills overlooking the Awatere Valley where your troubles fly away. The peace up there, the killer view across the Cook Straight and a glass of Loveblock bubbles will give your busy brain a break. Learn how we farm with the moon and sprinkle biologicals on the vines, and try your hand at stirring some of the preparations. It's fascinating, and it shows in the food we eat and the wine we sip. We have grown succulent vegetables in the garden, foraged and gathered seafood from nearby waters, and beef from our organic farm. We will serve up an intimate feast from our farm to your table amongst the vines. We will show you Sauvignon Blanc, but not as you know it – sparkling, made in clay pots and a concrete egg, with no sulphites added, and how it tastes in barrel. Inati x Spy in the Vines

The Riverhut Fire & Feast

The Riverhut Fire & Feast will be an unforgettable evening of exceptional food, fine wine and Marlborough hospitality.
Set beside the Waihopai river at The Ned Riverhut, this intimate dining experience will feature a bespoke menu created by a renowned guest chef, inspired by seasonal local produce and cooked over fire. Each course will be paired with wines from across The Ned range, showcasing the depth and character of Marlborough's most celebrated wine region.

The Secret Organic Garden

Hosted by Organic Winegrowers New Zealand, this exclusive event invites guests on a journey to a hidden location, revealed only on arrival. Return transport is included, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the evening.

Guests will gather in a beautiful secret setting for a four-course dining experience showcasing organic, seasonal and locally sourced produce. Each course will be paired with exceptional certified organic wines from Marlborough’s leading organic winegrowers.

With organic food, organic wines and a setting kept under wraps until the moment you arrive, this is an evening of discovery, connection and memorable hospitality.

The Sounds of Sauvignon

Host: Tiraki

An intimate evening on the water, showcasing the true spirit of Marlborough.

Guests depart by boat into the Marlborough Sounds for a sunset cruise and dinner hosted by our winemaker. Along the way, we explore the bays and coastline that shape our wines and shaped our childhood.

Dinner will showcase some of the great cuisine our region has to offer, prepared by our winemaker and matched with a selection of our wines.

As we drift through the Sounds, guests share a relaxed, small-group experience, hearing stories of the land, the ocean, and the people behind the wines.

The Tides Run Up the Wairau

Host: Astrolabe Wines

Tickets: $50pp

The name of the experience has been drawn from Eileen Duggan’s poem, which encapsulates the interaction of landscape and emotion. We will explore the terroir of Marlborough's sub-regions with a casual degustation menu featuring local and foraged produce prepared by the Waghorn family at their historic vineyard in Grovetown alongside themed tastings. Food by Finn Scott-Kelly, whose personal style tends towards the lifted, aromatic flavours of Asia and the Middle East, heavily featuring smoking or cooking with fire. It will be a farm garden culinary tour, with stops at various points on the property, including the original shearing shed, the native wetland restoration of the ƌpaoa loop, the olive grove and the vineyard itself, with some of the oldest vines in Marlborough. Each point will include a tasting exploring a sub-region of Marlborough alongside a small food pairing showcasing the produce of each sub-region, before a final sit-down family-style meal.

Tide to Table

Host: Cloudy Bay Vineyards

Join us at the Cloudy Bay Shack for an evening of Japanese-inspired seafood, celebrating the ocean’s bounty and our finest local produce.

Begin in our Pelorus garden with bubbles, canapés and live music, before taking your place at the table with your fellow guests and the Cloudy Bay team.

In our open kitchen, the chef will prepare delicate sashimi and sushi, setting the tone for a shared feast of abundant seafood platters.

As the sun sets, settle in for good food, good wine, and better conversation.

Tō mātou tūrangawaewae: An Omaka Twilight Experience

Host: Blank Canvas & Greywacke

Set high in the Omaka Valley at Blank Canvas’ Te Manawa Vineyard, overlooking Greywacke winery, this intimate, curated experience celebrates a shared sense of tĆ«rangawaewae - a place to stand, connect and belong. Jointly hosted by Blank Canvas and Greywacke, the evening brings together two of Marlborough’s leading wine producers against a backdrop of sweeping Southern Valleys views. As twilight settles over the valley, guests will enjoy the manaakitanga (hospitality) of both wineries while exploring rare magnums and special library releases drawn from each cellar. These wines, rooted in the vineyards visible from the table, reflect the character, history and sense of place that define the region. A seasonal menu inspired by local provenance and the rhythms of Marlborough will showcase outstanding regional produce through thoughtful, collaborative preparation, highlighting the connection between neighbours, land and table in a memorable celebration of wine, food and place.
